Littlemoor School, Rawdon, Leeds

PCP Architects’ latest project for Avenir properties is now on site, and due for completion in Spring 2008. The residential scheme consists of 14, two and three bedroom new build apartments, and 8 townhouses contained within the refurbished school building.

The existing Littlemoor School is an attractive example of Victorian school building and is an important element of Rawdon’s historic fabric. PCP Architects have created a truly contemporary development which has a strong identity, whilst allowing the school building to ‘stand in its own space’. The design of the new build element and the palette of traditional materials, including natural stone, brick slate and render, ensure the two distinct elements sit well together on the site.

This project demonstrates PCP Architects’ professional skill in creating fine contemporary buildings, and sensitive refurbishment which address the site’s potential and the client’s commercial requirements.
